PR City!

Our team ran a race at UW-Oshkosh this past weekend. It was a really fun weekend because we got to go up on Friday morning (meaning I got to miss a day of work) and stay in a hotel. The Oshkosh course is also known to be very fast due to the fact that it has zero hills and the footing is great, so a lot of people get PRs there (probably most people). Until Saturday, my 6k PR was from this meet last year (22:16) but I beat it this weekend! I ran a 22:13 for 25th place. I was pretty happy with this race, even though I had kinda wanted to break 22:00. But it was a great day for a meet and I felt really good so it was fun. Another good thing about this race is that I moved up to 4th on the Bethel All-Time 6k list, which is pretty cool. Our team got 6th, which was a little off what we had wanted, mostly because Alex Potter, who is usually our 2nd runner, had an off-day and ended up being our 4th runner. But it doesn't matter too much what we do now, what really matters is still a month away (Regions and Nats). Up next for us is our Conference meet on Oct. 31st, which we are hoping to win as a team for the first time in school history. Until then it will just be some hard training, lots of interval workouts, which I love! Hopefully we can all stay healthy through the rest of the season, because if we do we are gonna do great! |
